1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. They are widely used to make sites work, to remember choices and, on many sites, to measure or target advertising.
2. Cookies used on this site
This website does not use advertising, profiling or analytics cookies. We do not run Google Analytics, advertising pixels or similar tracking tools. The only cookie the site itself can set is:
- PHPSESSID (strictly necessary) — a session cookie used only in the password-protected administration area, so that a signed-in editor stays signed in. It is not set for ordinary visitors, contains no personal detail and expires when the browser session ends.
Because this cookie is strictly necessary for a service you have requested, it is exempt from the consent requirement under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR). That is why the site does not show a cookie banner.
3. Third-party services this site loads
Some resources are loaded from third-party providers. These do not set advertising cookies, but your IP address is necessarily visible to the provider serving the file:
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — web fonts used for typography.
- Cloudflare CDN (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) — the Font Awesome icon library.
- Web3Forms (api.web3forms.com) — used only at the moment you submit the contact form, to deliver your enquiry to our inbox.
- WhatsApp (wa.me) — only if you click a WhatsApp link, which opens WhatsApp’s own service.
Each of these providers processes data under its own privacy terms. What we do with the enquiry you send us is described in our Privacy Policy.
4. How to control cookies
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this under its privacy or security options. Blocking cookies will not affect your use of this site, since no cookie is required to browse it. Blocking the session cookie would, however, prevent signing in to the administration area.
5. Changes to this policy
If we add analytics or any non-essential cookie in future, we will update this page and introduce a consent mechanism before those cookies are set.
